Alberta Authorities Collects $30M from Hashish Tax Since Legalization


The Alberta authorities raked in $30 million in taxes from cannabis within the first six months of marijuana legalization.

In response to the province’s fiscal year-end assertion, the tax income from cannabis collected by the federal government is $four million larger than initially anticipated.

Alberta Gaming, Liquor and Hashish (AGLC) generated practically $77 million in cannabis gross sales between October 17, 2018 and March 31, 2019; largely from on-line gross sales and thru gross sales to personal retailers.
